Map clothing to the role

List the environments in which the clothing will be worn. Corporate shirts may suit an office brief, while golf shirts can provide a different look for customer-facing teams. Promotional T-shirts may be appropriate for an event campaign. Avoid choosing one garment solely because it can carry a logo; the wearer’s daily requirements should guide the selection.

Plan a small, coherent range

A wardrobe can include a base garment and a practical layer without becoming difficult to administer. Compare corporate jackets and fleece jackets with the shirts intended underneath. Keep colour coordination in the brief, but ask for actual matching confirmation. Similar colour names across different ranges do not guarantee identical shades.

Collect product-specific sizing

Use the chart for each chosen style. Men’s and ladies’ cuts, sleeve lengths and different brands can vary. Record quantities for every size and garment instead of assuming each employee needs the same label across the range. Where fit is uncertain, ask about a sample or fitting process before a larger order is approved.

Specify the identity clearly

Send the approved logo and state the positions needed. A chest logo, sleeve mark and back design are separate requirements. Fabric texture, lining and seams influence the suitable method. Ask for confirmation of embroidery or printing compatibility on each garment and review a product-specific proof before production.

Review a complete cost breakdown

Request clothing, branding, setup, VAT and delivery as identifiable lines. A starting catalogue price is not automatically a fully branded delivered price. Include the delivery area and preferred date early so the quote can address logistics. Make sure the final size schedule and artwork version are the ones attached to the approval.

Build a record for new staff orders

Save product references, approved colours and artwork with the order number. A useful record makes later enquiries clearer when new staff join or replacements are needed. Reconfirm current availability and pricing each time. If a product changes, assess the proposed replacement against the original wardrobe brief rather than accepting a similar name alone.
